Birmingham police release identity of man shot and killed Monday night
Baldwin County Sheriff Hoss Mack said the man who fired shots at deputies Monday is dead. The incident started around 1:30 p.m. at a mobile home park on Highway 98 near Keller Road in Barnwell. Mack said two deputies were there to serve an eviction notice when a man inside the home fired shots at them.
Tuscaloosa police responded to two separate shootings Monday night. The first shooting was reported at 8:15 p.m. in the 600 block of Dogwood Lane. Police found an 18-year-old man had been shot in the stomach and taken to DCH Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition, officials said.
