Officers repsonded to a report of a person shot at an apartment complex on 33rd Street SW around 11:30 p.m. They arrived to find a man suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to the leg. The victim's injuries are not life threatening, police said.

Authorities have made an arrest in connection with the armed carjacking of a Gardendale pastor in December. Dwight Bell Jr. is facing first-degree counts of robbery, assault and burglary, as well as a second-degree assault charge. Authorities say Bell held a pastor at gunpoint and stole his vehicle outside the South Campus of First Baptist Church of Gardendale on Dec. 18.

Two men have been arrested in connection with a property theft case, and one man is still on the run, according to Sheriff Todd Entrekin. The three men are suspected of stealing a yellow Can Am four-wheeler and wood splitter from a home on Lake Mary Louise Road in Gadsden, authorities said.
Tuscaloosa police responded to a report of a burglary at a business in the 1000 block of NE McFarland Boulevard Sunday. Officers found one of the glass doors had been shattered, according to the police report. Security cameras captured a man entering the business and taking several boxes of cigarettes, authorities said.

Police in Tuscaloosa are investigating a homicide they say happened Friday evening at Broadmoore Gardens Apartments in the 200 block of E. James I. Harrison, Jr. Parkway. When police arrived at the scene after a call around 6:45 p.m., they found an 18-year-old man suffering a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
