Hoover police responded to a shooting call at the Elevation Hoover Apartments located on Little Valley Road at approximately 7:14 Tuesday night. The Troy Police Department has arrested a man in a shooting with five victims, in which one was killed Sunday.  According to police, officers responded to the 100 block of Chapman Street at 10:25 a.m. in response to shots fired. When they arrived, they found a 29-year-old Brundidge man lying on the kitchen floor with a gunshot wound. In the bedroom, they found a 49-year-old woman from Troy and a 57-year-old man from Troy, also suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were non-life threatening.3 week ago

A home on Arlington St. near Ross St. went up in flames this morning around 4 a.m. Mobile Fire Department Spokesperson tells New 5 that no one was inside the home during the fire. Officials say that the home did suffer major damage.

An early morning drive-by shooting has put 4 people in the hospital. The shooting happened around 4 a.m. between near 3rd Ave. N and 9th St. N. According to Birmingham police, a car pulled up to two vehicles and started shooting. 4 males were taken to the hospital. Three are in stable condition, and one person has life threatening injuries.

The Mobile police: is investigating a double homicide on Felix Street
Graysville: large truck crashed off a bridge on Highway 78 Thursday, leading to a water rescue for one person trapped inside the wreckage. It happened about 5:00pm on the bridge that crosses Fivemile Creek in the Graysville area.
The Talladega Police Department is investigating the Dec. 13 death of a 15-month-old boy as a homicide, according to CBS 42 News. Talladega police Capt. John McCoy Told CBS 42 the boy was transported to Brookwood Baptist Medical Center from a home in the 900 block of Sloan Avenue around 1 p.m. Dec. 13. The boy was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Birmingham, Alabama shooting at Avenue W and 1st Street: 1 killed
The Birmingham Fire Department is investigating a fire that destroyed a house and heavily damaged another Wednesday morning. Firefighters were called just after 5 a.m. to 24th Street SW and Northland Avenue. When they arrived on the scene, they found one house fully involved and flames spreading to the adjacent house. Battalion Chief Raymond Williams said neither house was occupied.
Birmingham police are searching for the person who shot and killed a man overnight in the Pratt City neighborhood. Police were called just after midnight to Avenue W and 1st Street Pratt City after someone reported that an SUV crashed into a power pole. At the scene, officers found the crashed SUV with bullet holes and a man dead inside from an apparent gunshot wound.
Gardendale police say one person is in custody after a fatal shooting Tuesday morning. According to a release, officers were called to the 700 block of Twin Ridge Drive around 8:30 a.m. on a report of a shooting. Upon arriving, they found a man shot to death.

A Baldwin County sheriff's deputy is in serious condition after being shot Monday night. According to WEAR, the deputy was responding to a domestic violence call on Monday evening, where a woman had been assaulted.
Authorities in Birmingham are investigating a report of a possible explosive material detected on a package at a DHL facility on 7th Avenue North. Details are limited at this time, but the Birmingham Police Department Bomb Squad is on the scene.

Tarrant firefighters put out abandoned house fire on Bell Ave. No injuries reported.
A fire causes a brief evacuation at the YWCA building in downtown Birmingham Saturday. The Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service responded to a call of smoke in the building about 7:45pm. Several people evacuated as a precaution. Fire crews found the source of the smoke, which was a fire inside an exterior wall of the building.
Anniston: Police have taken a man into custody in relation with a Thursday homicide in the city, according to the department. Damien Curry, 23, from Munford, Ala. was arrested on Friday. Police have charged Curry with Murder in the death of 22-year-old Zondrick Foster.
The Calhoun County coroner has identified Zondrick Foster, 22, as the victim of a homicide in Anniston December 14. The shooting occurred in a parking lot of a gas station at the intersection of Front Street and Chestnut Street. Foster was pronounced dead at the scene.
